Alice Oseman is a critically acclaimed, bestselling author-illustrator and a BAFTA nominated and Emmy winning screenwriter based in Kent. Alice secured their first publishing deal at 17 and published her acclaimed first YA novel Solitaire at age 19. Alice has gone on to write four YA novels, two novellas, five graphic novels, an official colouring book and a yearbook. The Heartstopper graphic novel series is a global phenomenon, dominating international bestseller charts, achieving #1 spots on both The Sunday Times and the New York Times bestseller lists and selling over 10 million copies in more than 38 countries worldwide. Alice is also the creator, writer and executive producer behind the Heartstopper Netflix adaptation and was named as Attitude magazine’s Person of the Year 2025. They were also included in last year’s ‘Vogue 25’, British Vogue’s list of the UK’s most influential women across the arts, fashion, music and politics. In 2023, Alice was named as Illustrator of the Year by the British Book Awards.
